Alexandria only participates in CCL Premiership. They are not part of Pro23, CCL Championship, or NextGen (https://clubchampionsleague.com/member-clubs/)
Their focus is on the boys' teams 05 and younger. Check their standings (https://clubchampionsleague.com/standings/). With the exception of the 04 Girls Red team, the rest of their girls' teams are ranked in the bottom half of CCL. The boys' teams 06 and older are no better.
McLean left CCL to focus on ECNL. That's fine for the girls' teams who travel farther to compete at a similar level to CCL Premiership but doesn't do much for the boys.
"or SYC with the TD switching" (How many scholarship players are you taking to SYC?) See the PP "Looks like the SYC top team/state cup winner under the previous TD (Hint: LC) has lost its rhythm under new TD and coach Este, losing games at Jeff Cup 8-0 & 4-0 and lost this weekend 3-1 to a no name (sic) team in EDP. In researching, SYC beat this same team 6-1 last September."
Noone can argue boys side but the girls are terrible. Not to mention a bad year for Alexandria futsal only one team won state, which really says something when they pushed a team for every age group.
I expect SYC will play in the CCL Championship (CCL II) level. They were here once before but blew it off to play in NPL. If you're not familiar with this discussion, go to the SYC thread (https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/782219.page).
Here's the description. "CCL Championship is for ages 11-17s, boys and girls, and is a competitive platform offering both individuals and clubs the opportunity to develop under the same standards as the Premiership. Not only does the Championship offer a fantastic competitive environment but it allows players to compete at a level appropriate to them and possibly prepare them for Premiership play in the future. Unique to the Championship, clubs that do not participate in the Premiership can work with like-mind Directors and clubs to help grow their club within the club-based model."
That's a nice way of welcoming window lickers to the small bus.
LMVSC will release their coaching slate within three weeks. This will include names familiar at both the local and the national level.
Not completely accurate on the Alexandria boys side. 05 boys are #2 out of 17 in CCL, 06 boys are #3 out of 17, and of course you excluded two really strong teams, the 07s (also #2 out of 17) and the 08s (who are beating everybody in sight this year). I'd say that is pretty solid, especially for a first year in CCL's top division.

Be more transparent, he didn't just decline the job, 2 life changing situations are tough to deal and then add a cross country move. Don't be misleading when you obviously received the email.
Im sure he knew his situation before he accepted the offer. He got cold feet then backed out in the end the club looks like a fool not him but he should take SOME blame
Why does the club look like a fool? This happens all the time in corporate America. I am sure they will find someone and that person will be great for the club. But they need to take their time to find the right fit.

Anonymous wrote:That was a bad statement. CCL is no where near ECNL but I will say CCL is the best league in the area from 9U-11U can you argue with that? Whats better VPL?? NCSL?
