I’m currently nursing my third. She’s 4 months old and the sweetest baby I’ve ever met. I got pregnant less than two weeks after writing this post. Our lives are sometimes chaotic but much more manageable than I had feared. It helps that my husband and I both got promoted/switched jobs increasing our HHI by $25k year right before baby arrived. So that relieved what was going to be the initial financial pressure.
Great, so happy everything worked out!
I remember that psycho mom in your thread who was one of four herself & then had 4 kids, and all she talked about was how perfect her childhood was & how perfect her kids lived are.
She seemed to become more & more unraveled as she posted over & over again and all I kept thinking the whole time was; how does this lady have so much time to post on DCUM with 4 perfect kids??

I know this is for more recent OPs, but I’m an old OP who sought advice about leaving an abusive marriage. DD and I have been living on our own for 2 years now, and the divorce is finalizing this week. The resources for the women’s center, therapy, and financial advice was a huge help. I’m completing my last semester in a graduate program, up for a promotion, divorce settlement should pay off the debt I had to take on during divorce, I’m finally free of resentment, and excited about a new relationship that is on the horizon with an old flame I reconnected with.

I’m the OP of a thread about TV watching during holidays
from years ago. We would spend the whole time around the TV when my in laws hosted the holidays. That thread blew up and there were debates between people about TV vs no TV.
Anyways, a few days after that one particular holiday that I had complained about to DCUM, my FIL called and apologized to my dh because apparently SIL and BIL were having marital problems so the holiday was uncomfortable. (fil didn’t mention the TV.)
