If you haven't had insomnia, you don't know how miserable it is to finally be about to fall asleep at 2/3/4 AM and then have your bedroom filled with the sounds of the birds tweeting "morning" songs. Thankfully, I'm past my really bad insomnia days, but those nights brought me to tears more than once.

Now a rooster...that shit is horrible!

And stupid. S/he can't even spell "hear" (which is half why I asked if they came from Jersey).
I don't mind roosters either. My neighbors have them, and they don't bother me at all.
Earplugs are cheap. I suggest all those bothered by nature invest in some.

Huh? "Jersey" actually has one of the most educated populations in the country (& some of the best public schools). It also has many birds, I'm sure. And, no, I am not from there.

It's mating season. Once they hook up they will calm down and get boring. Just like people, except for birds it will only take a month or so.

I live in the city - you bird lovers can rejoice. If I lived in the burbs, I'd get all the outdoor cats to attack and kill the creepy, screeching, disease carrying tree vermin.

Loud birds are THE WORST.

Strong medication (for you) and a white noise machine.

Seriously, all I hear (at the moment is sirens). Be so very grateful for the birds.
