And this is PP- I was told that stats with PGS normals are lower for those of us 40 & up
But that's not always the case so you should press your RE

The stats are better for two (~55% vs 85%)
I had the same situation at 41 & transferred one however per my RE's recommendation
He was giving me the same stats as someone younger and we both agreed that I wasn't a good candidate for twins given my age and other factors
And it worked out but I knew I was decreasing my likelihood of success
This is very personal decision OP and I would push your RE to give you a success rate with one versus two

I would do 1, because they're tested. The reason your age matters at 41 is that a big percentage of 41 year old embryos are not genetically normal, as age affects the genetics of the embryos. Once they've been tested, I don't think the fact that you're 41 matters anymore? If that's the case, do 1 because with PGS tested, you'd want to do 1.

I'm quite certain I'm represented in the threads the pp posted.

I'm a mom of twins and I STRONGLY advocate for transferring one.

I also agree w/ a PP who said that doing one at a time means you have the option to adjust your protocol if the doctors advise.

With your own eggs at that age you are likely at reduced probability for twins, but if were doing things over I would have only transferred one at a time - for so many reasons that I'm sure are articulated on the linked threads.

(Also, if you do end up w/ twins - don't panic. I had a very healthy pregnancy, healthy calm delivery, healthy full-term babies, etc... And I was 44! So don't panic. )

Not OP but I am also debating whether to do 1 vs 2 so this thread is helpful. I am turning 39 in a few months and these are our last two tested embryo's.

I would do one with no question. All doing two does is increase your chance of multiples, which is no joke OP. Please don't romanticize the idea of twins or a twin pregnancy.
