| I'm scheduled for a single transfer of a pgs tested embryo. Now I'm doubting whether I should have one or two transfered. Insurance will only pay for one. Fwiw I'm 32. |

Do only 1. Twins are no joke. You hear and see all the happy stories. You don't hear about all the miscarriages and stillbirths due to twins+ pregnancy. As someone who had a stillbirth (not due to twins), it's a kind of pain I wouldn't want my worst enemy to go through. I have a child now but I still cry over my lost baby.
Not worth the risk!!! |
I'm so sorry PP.

| Can you freeze the others and use them later? I had my only 2 embryos transferred, simply because they were not able to be frozen. It was the right choice. Only one implanted. |
|
I would just transfer one.

| Another twin mom here. Transfer one. |
| Transfer 1. Not only are there risks as PPs mentioned, but what if there is a uterine issue and they don't take? You just used 2. |
Yes. We have 10 Frozen pgs tested embryos. |
This is a good point. Something similar happened to friends. I'm so sorry for your loss and what you went through. |

A pgs normal at 32? Not even a question. Transfer one.
I transferred one normal at 38. Twins are serious business on every level. Do not mess with it. |
Add me to the twin mom list saying transfer one - my much-wanted pregnancy almost killed me. |
Op here. I'm glad I posted this question! I had no idea. |
| Another twin mom--Transfer 1! |
Thank you for your kind words |
| OP, what does your doctor recommend? I've gone through 3 transfers (1 at 37, 2 at 39) and only did single transfers each time at the recommendation of my RE. All of them resulted in BFP, though the second resulted in an early M/C. |
