and this was how long ago? Did you rush into this marriage? Are there trust issues? I can't imagine caring enough about DH's ex (who I know he was talking to when we first were dating but I don't know about what) To actively search for their old emails. This seems like a sign of something way bigger.
Also, did you post about this before? The whole "he was in love with his ex" is really familiar

OP, I understand you as I was in your shoes. DH had broken up with his GF 2 months before we met. He also was trying to get back with her and I believe was having a lot of romantic thoughts about her 1 year into our relationship.
To be fair, I was also still talking to an ex bf who was abroad at the time.
We are now married 15 years and very happy.

Also he continued texting with her after we got together. When I told him it made me uncomfortable he was mad and say that they're just friends and that he doesn't want to be a jerk to her. By his emails I also found out that 5 months after we were dating he met up with her for lunch when she was in town.
