We probably can’t stop greedy big-business from replacing the people with AI, but we sure can control government (once we are back in control).

So, why not just ban AI from the government entirely?

We can go a step further and try to restrict , as much as we can, the use of computer-technology in government?

Why not require paper backups (typed paper) for every offial document of any type? You could still have the e-file type systems, but just require that someone type it up on paper, like we used to?

It could save hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs.

Sure - so long as you fund the increased costs from your income and savings instead of the taxpayer. Good-idea fairy spending other people's money stikes again!

Am I the only one who feels like you can tell when a process is purposely not being automated so that a bureaucrat can keep their job? Like the cities where you can’t pay your parking ticket online or your speeding ticket, the cities where you need to write a ]{}##% check to pay your car tax? I work at a university and there is one department where they are like “email Cheryl to RSVP for the event” and then Cheryl manually puts all the email addresses into excel and then she manually individually emails every student the zoom coordinates for the event. And there is actually a program that can do all that and more but then Cheryl wouldn’t have a job.

Agree.

I don’t use ai as much anymore. Sometimes creating a list or a schedule, yes.

I tried to use it to study for a professional training. I gave it my outline and had it create quiz questions etc.

It made so many wrong assumptions, made connections that were the opposite of helpful.

I went back to studying myself, making notes, drawing my own diagrams,’etc

It is improving at an exponential pace.

It actually isn’t.

This is not even good trolling.
