To the dense urbanization PP. MoCo is the suburbs. I’ve been to the suburbs of Denver, Boston, and Minneapolis and they aren’t trashy like this.

I've never lived in a place with private contractors for trash pickup. I'm sure a lot of people try to save money and just dump their trash where ever.

Most places I have lived have had municipal trash pickup that is mandatory and you get a bill from the city every month.

so think about the root of it. Probably either a moving company or one of those mattress deliveries that take your old mattress away. Except they don't want to dispose of the old mattress so they instruct the drivers to dump. Pretty easy to do a sting operation.

+1…. This is not a matter of dense urbanization. This a matter of who is being densely urbanized.

Import the third world, become the third world.

This is what happens when they declare Montgomery County, Maryland a sanctuary county. These people that moved here, do this in their country. They urinate in public. They do number two in public. They change baby diapers and throw the old diaper on the ground. They have sex at the play grounds and throw the condoms on the ground. They stop at traffic lights and throw their trash and beer bottles out the window and on the mediums. They let their dogs run loose without a leash and do their business in the public areas and residential neighborhoods. Almost every bus stop in the county is trashed. Where ever there's fast food places in shopping centers I see their trash laying everywhere on the ground and in the bushes and flower areas.

On the beltway I see all kinds of trash anything from dirt and gravel to extension ladders and traffic cones in the moving lanes. That stuff must fall off the trucks. Maybe the mattresses blow off cars and they just keep going or people are dumping them at night when no one is on the road.

Almost every state road in the county has medium grass that is never cut until its two feet tall and they make a bigger mess cutting it. They shoot the clippings out in the road. The trees need trimmed and curbs need cleaned. Its like the county or state could care less what it looks like after they cut it. I'm sure, they probably are tired of picking up the litter.
Its seems like they paved Rockville Pike every year but all your other major roads they don't even pave even if they have pot holes and pavement swelling or upheavals.

I do see furniture piled up in front of apartment buildings with clothes. That's from renters not paying their rent for a year. I'm starting to see more of that.

Those in the trash pickup areas pay an extra fee with their RE tax. Other areas might ask for this, if dense enough to make it work.

The real issue is the trash services. If it’s on the curb they should take it. Period.

If the trash truck comes and there is a large item or a tire or something they should radio the bulk team (who should be out in a stake body truck) 5-6 days a week.

And that team heads to the location to get the bulk trash the same day. No orange tags no leaving it. You are the trash service. You take the trash.

That’s how a well run trash service should work. If someone forgets to call for bulk pick up. You get it done. And the same day.

Same thing for trash on roads. There should be dedicated teams that drive the county daily and pick up anything they see.

Of course this costs money. And we all know how Montgomery county likes to piss away our tax dollars on crap like bike lanes that no one asked for.

Yes. This entire area has been overwhelmed. There is mass dumping of furniture along the roads in lots of places where there wasn't before. Our neighborhood has had to pay to haul at least two sets of couches on separate occasions recently and we've never had to do that before. People had dumped them in a common area. So trashy.

When I see mattresses on the side of a highway I think that something bad happened to whomever was transporting them from the mattress store. Not that anyone dumps them there like trash.
