Don't be an idiot. This arson is insanely old news, and the home invasion? That was a law firm managing partner targeted by a fired employee. Neither of these was a random crime.

It was arson right? So clearly the owner is pursuing charges.

I was really surprised when I saw it by all of the posts about how out of place it is in the neighborhood. It really isn't. That neighborhood is a mish mash of old and new builds. Weird situation though.
It might have been the first new house in the neighborhood, which might set an unbalanced neighbor off, easily. I believe that is the reason for the McLean reference.
As more new builds go up, it might make an unbalanced neighbor...more unbalanced....
I don't understand your post. Are you saying that McLean is full of unbalanced neighbors who are easily set off? And that's why someone is saying the house is in McLean even though it's in Falls Church, because it's allegedly been burned down by an unbalanced neighbor? If this is what you're saying, gotta say, your post is bizarre.
Your conclusion is bizarre. Your reading comprehension, nonexistent.

Finally!
Pp is that you?
Seriously?
It's hard to believe it's not the owner who did it.
It's definitely the owner/builder or a shady business associate who has beef with him. The neighborhood is great and there have been plenty of tear-downs and new (large) builds without incident.
There ARE neighbors in McLean who would do this.......
