Falls Church Home for Sale Burns down again...

Since there are so many who still want to talk about this house, I thought a new thread was in order with the correct address. Yes, the one across from Haycock Elementary School. Let's start with the correct address...

2142 Haycock Rd, Falls Church, VA 22043

The Google image indicates the house was listed with Washington Fine Properties before the last blaze. Seems like Washington Fire Properties would have been more like it.

The link you posted is from December. Has there been another fire since then?

McLean schools, with McLean Community Center tax district,

Postal code: Falls Church.

Similar to houses along Arlington/Fairfax border to the north that go to McLean Schools, pay the tax for MCC, but have a postal code foe Arlington.

I know people on DCUM argue back and forth that this area is "Falls Church", but most people who live in the area (even with McLean addresses) consider it to be McLean. I never heard of it being regarded as Falls Church, until I came here. Most people in McLean think of Longfellow and Haycock as McLean schools and not Falls Church schools.

Postal Codes serve the post office and do not always go along political/governmental lines.

Pp you are right except for the postal code nonsense and referring to it as McLean. It is still falls church, still 22043 which is a falls church in fairfax county (not falls church city)zip code. It is zoned for McLean high School and close to mclean, but it is not mclean.

Just passed by this house today, and there was a foreclosure auction sign for earlier this month. I know they held the auction in June, did that sale fall through? Given that the auction sign is still up, did it not sell? What's the deal with this place?

Got $350K? Inside the beltway, good schools....what a deal!

Dumb a**, why don't start a new thread instead of resurrecting an old one with incorrect subject line...

Nice. Why is the title incorrect. The house is in 22043, which is Falls Church.

Because this way people familiar with it would know what I was referring to right away, instead of me having to give all the context. I'm sorry you found this so deeply disturbing.

I actually appreciated the thread being resurrected because I did not know the history.
