I responded there. I have actually had luck in cheating and having my weight go up, and then not getting stuck again on the way down. That said, it took me 8 days to get back to normal after I had a whole bunch of celebration food over the weekend for my anniversary, ha!
My new question is, when your height goes down as you age (I used to be 5 ft. 7.5 inches and now am barely 5 ft 6 what?!), do you readjust your BMI according to your new height? That is such a bummer, I might have to lose more weight to be "normal." I'm asking this question even though I sort of know the answer is yes. I just don't want it to be!!!
Good luck, folks!

Nights are worst for me so I try to go to bed on the early side. If I really want a little more food, sometimes I eat a few slices of sweet heat bread and butter pickles! Crazy but it’s a lot of flavor and barely any carbs or calories. Not too many though because they’re salty. I’ve lost over 80 pounds so far.. Good luck!
Anonymous wrote:Hi, the fellow gallstone poster! Did you do your weight loss under any kind of doctor supervision? My initial weight was way more than yours, i am 5'8" and 178 now, down from 190, i have to lose at least 10 more pds. I am just using an app and never consulted any dietitian or such. Any advice as to how not to feel so hungry? I tried a boiled egg a day just when it gets too bad, but it made me constipated. I cannot eat fruit because of fructose and fatty liver connection. I used to eat 3-4 honeycrisps a day.

Anonymous wrote:PP here who was concerned about the liver. I too have gallstones, haha. And I too, bought size 16 (sigh) jeans about 3 months ago though was always size 12 pre-pandemic, and now they literally fall off which I am very happy about. Woman, 53 as well. I never believed I can lose almost 12 pounds in 3 months and honestly I am surprised and a little scared of how easy it was. I guess I should go to the health forum since people on this thread are probably totally healthy and not worried about their livers -)

Yesterday i was googling it and found lots of scary articles that rapid weight loss can basically damage your liver even further. Anyone on this thread has thought of weight loss in this light? What is considered a "rapid" loss? I am doing about 1500cal a day and not exactly low carb but way lower than i used to eat, and i am starving half the time. Can all this kill my liver?
5 lbs a month is not rapid weight loss. You should be fine.
