They should have learned to code.

House staffers get paid on the last day of the month.

I know right now there’s no urgent business for the House. But what happens if this is a presidential year and Congress needs to certify the presidential election? What if this goes past January 20 when the president is supposed to be sworn in? Will we not have a president?

Ken Buck has not voted in rounds 9-11.

He had to leave due to an appointment, won't be back for a couple of days. Several other Republicans apparently can't be there in the coming days either. Will McCarthy be able to force adjournment votes?

Would that put Jeffries over 50%?

No, it would take something like a dozen absent Republicans before Jeffries's 212 votes would constitute a majority.

It could make it so that he only needs 4 Republicans to join his ticket instead of 6, but I'm not sure that actually changes anything.

Nominated Trump, of course.

you could knock me down with a feather. what the actual f*ck.

He's done it before. No idea why his mouth is so firmly attached to Trump's posterior, still.

Do we think this is part of a bigger plan? Or Gaetz being Gaetz.

It’s how he gets clicks and $

I rest my case.

Even MTG is like WTF, Matt?

This drama is really intoxicating….. I for one can’t wait for the curveball when……… Kevin McCarthy becomes speaker of the house. Womp, womp. Fake and lame theatrics.

I had the same thought! I don't think I could lose that many times publicly and keep going.

Abject desperation.

The perfect qualities for speaker of the house. 🙄🙄
