This PP has repeatedly said she is not anti-Muslim. She is married to a Muslim and the mother to one so the weight of the evidence is in her favor on this. She has many disagreements, however, with various Islamic teachings. That does not make her anti-Muslim and that does not make her an Islamaphobe.
Quite the contrary. Her husband is secular. She hates Islam. Her husbands family pressures her to convert and she resists because she hates Islam. Now shes on DCUM calling one of only two Muslims writing here an unhinged chick. I would say my being Muslim has something to do with her insult.
Ok--so now I am confused.
PP is married to a Muslim but because you have decided (not sure on what basis) that he is a secular Muslim, being married to him does not count as showing her non anti-Muslim bona fides?
I also have no idea on what basis you have decided that her husband's family has pressured her to convert; as far as I recall, the PP in question has never said this. She has said, she would never convert to Islam because she disagrees with many of the teachings.
Disagreement with teachings does NOT equate to hate, a point this PP and others have made repeatedly but you seem very stuck on the equation disagreement with Islamic teachings=hate of Islam.

Actually I do believe thats a generic picture. But the comment was meant to insult her for wearing it. In this society, even Muslims have great respect for nuns who also wear head coverings. I can not understand why any Muslim should be insulted or mocked for wearing hers.
All of these threads have similar insults or mockery, though. Disagreement is totally fine, insults are a different matter, such as when the poster said inheritance laws treat muslim women like children or tries to show that apostasy punishment laws are barbaric (all the while ignoring that Islam does not punish apostasy with death). The hundreds of posts are designed to malign, portray Islam as a truly evil religion. Even a simple comment saying Muslims believe in Jesus is met with a hostile reaction that we are misleading people.
I think I'll leave it up to the media now.
I don't think it's an insult to say that Muslim inheritance laws or divorce laws treat women like children.
Muslims do not believe in the same Jesus. It's misleading to say that they do.
As I said, you may think you're getting major points for your gheera toward Islam, but it ain't here.

There is so much hostility toward Muslims in this country and thats what is making the news today, not the angry reaction of one Muslim to the hostile mob of the predominant faith.
The interns will likely go through all the threads, mine included. They will see my insults came as a reaction to the insult about Muslima's hijab. They will also see my apology. So I'm fine with them seeing everything.

The post asking Muslima to show a pic WITH her veil (my typo before) is there. Don't tempt me to repost it. In fact, this was one of the screen shots I submitted to CAIR and media outlets. The one media outlet I spoke to today will be receiving many similar posts to use as the basis of an article on islamophobia.

The point about conversion was a post clearly addressed to Muslima. It happens to be posted on a public forum though. That doesn't mean I owe you my explanation for it. It was a direct, if not private, conversation. The only reason you hang onto that point and wish to revisit it again and again like a rabid dog out for flesh is because this is about winning an argument for you and it is the only point you think will bring you that win.

I'm not the poster you're attacking. For the record, I didn't make the comment about Muslima and her veil, and I don't think the poster you're attacking made it either.
There's an obvious problem with your accusation: Muslima's posts already have her pic in her veil. Yes, every single one of her posts always carries both her name and a pic of herself in her veil. Or, perhaps its a generic woman in a veil, but I'm sure many assume it's Muslima herself. So it's illogical for you to claim that somebody was asking her to post such a pic, especially against her will.
As I recall, the comment you object to didn't ask for a picture. Instead it suggested a reason why she posted her picture, namely, to garner sympathy.
Please, do carry through on your threat and post the comment about Muslima and her veil. Then we can clear this up. I'm sure I'm right.

Nasty here. I asked you to stop the mockery and insults, but you didn't.
So heres my reply to you asking Muslima to post a pic of herself in a veil to garner sympathy:
Post a pic of your last pap smear lab results showing your STD (HPV seems to be popular in western states) and maybe we Muslims will feel sorry for you too.
Anonymous wrote:You see what this dingbat started? Who knows if it is a he or she or what country he or she is posting from.
Post a pic of yourself in a veil. Gain "some" western sympathy.
Then act like an ass and post diatribe after diatribe.right.

OP, you clearly didn't bother to click on the links, which show you two calling people Islamophobes over differences of opinion or disagreement on facts. The 2nd link at 14:11 is particularly illustrative of how you two throw the term "Islamophobe" around just because someone quoted Muslima's favorite Muslim scholar to make a point you disagreed with. There are so many more examples like this, though, that you can't hide behind some guy who called Mohammed a pedophile one time a month ago. If I have some time tonight I'll dig up some more examples of you guys calling people Islamophobes for no obvious reason -- it shouldn't take long because there are so many examples.
