Our principle said lessons will be recorded for parents to refer to later. She had an info session about the whole thing this week. Kindergarteners are getting IPADs from the schools.

I don't know details, but we were told by someone from our school that attendance will be tracked in some official way, in real time. Hence why we've decided to homeschool the younger kids and just have our oldest DL

The article includes proposed schedules for elementary and MS/HS classes, which seems to be similar to many other districts. They feature alternating live sessions, independent work, and short breaks in 4 time slots across a 6 hour day. Wednesdays are no live teaching and will be used for special services and other student help. The plan will be presented to the BOE on July 30.

For us, the live instruction is really important. In the spring, my daughter's MS teachers did one zoom a week with 100+ kids logged in. It was way too chaotic. My younger two only got one or two zoom lessons the entire time. I think that for middle and high school students, this won't be terrible. For lower elementary school students it will be a huge challenge.
