How do you get curology? I went on their website, put my zip code and it says they don’t have it in Silver Spring.

I have a brand new box under my sink that my son never used if anyone wants it. Had better luck with Curology.

Epiduo Forte is very expensive (under my good insurance coverage, still $75 per container). Our pediatrician confirmed for me that you can also use benzoyl peroxide AND differin, at the same time, instead of purchasing the combined medication. If you get the same concentrations, it's the same thing and much cheaper.

Antibiotics for acne ruined my gut health and I would stay away from that. It also yellows teeth over time. For girls, birth control pill helped immensely. Adalpene works better than Epiduo because it is less drying, in my opinion.

My son has been on various acne treatments for over a year at this point.

The first line of treatment was epiduo forte. As a pp said, I think it works best on mild acne but it is certainly a good starting place and many people have success on it.

Two different dermatologists recommended antibiotics to treat his acne (in combo with skin creams and face washes) so I do not know what the PP is talking about.

Epiduo is great. Differin separately is also good, but not quite as effective as the combo with benzoyl peroxide (which is what epiduo is). The benzoyl peroxide component can be more irritating for some people. Please don't listen to anyone advocating for antibiotics - they are minimally effective and can ruin other bacteria in your body (and probiotics have not been proven to help replace this bacteria in any scientific study). I have not met a dermatologist in the last 20 years who believes antibiotics are anything other than a very poor option.

My 16-year-old has been using it for several months. She found it to be very drying and it didn't have an immediate impact, but it has seemed reasonably effective over time. Her acne, however, while noticeable when she began treatment, would probably be classified as relatively mild.

Has anyone used this on their teen? Did it work? Did you need to apply moisturizer as well and what brand if so?
