Sounds good to me. Active teens eat A LOT and need plenty of healthy fats!! Sounds like your kids are making good choices.
FWIW my brother was obsessed with eating dried figs before hard exercise as a teen. He said they were the perfect energy food for him.
Trader Joe's bags of mini avocados are great! TJs also has a ton of different types of nuts. Why not branch out and encourage them to try different kinds. (Each type of nut has slightly different nutritional benefits.)
Bottom line: Teens are weird. And they eat a lot. Yours have combined the two into one. They sound efficient.
