Because if OP is finding about about her fertility there will be lab draws. They will notice a 20 pound weight loss in a month. They will notice severe bloating. Op, would also be telling them this since she would be followed by at least one doctor. If you want to be so convinced OP is real, by my guest. Her posts have been fishy from the start and only made worse when you tie in the other threads.

Strange situation. I love calling out trolls when I am sure they are trolls. Occasionally, there are cases when I'm either not sure, or I am sympathetic toward the poster and don't really want to call them a troll. In this case, the poster has started some earlier threads on "women's topics" about which I have no expertise and little knowledge at all. But, despite my ignorance, the threads don't seem consistent to me. So, let me ask you, would you find it strange for one poster to:

1) ask for input about a hysterectomy;
2) ask about day 3 results for AMH three days after asking about the hysterectomy;
3) ask what would cause weight loss 12 days after the second thread.

In my view, a woman considering a hysterectomy would not simultaneously be worrying about her fertility. But then, I run a website not an ob/gyn office. Similarly, I'd expect someone who has apparently been spending quite a bit of time in doctors' offices discussing hysterectomies and getting blood tests to be a bit more resourceful when faced with significant weight loss.

So, you guys can make the call.


OP here, thanks for confirming my hunch. I'm one of the posters who came to DCUM with some concern about medical issues and unsure of what to do. The second the consensus came back that my worries were justified, I hit the ER, and that's where they found several tumors in my abdomen. I know how caring and nurturing DCUM can be but I hate when people come here to take advantage of that and to troll.

You're absolutely right, though Jeff. Anyone who is under physician's care would've had bloodwork that indicated something was wrong or off, and they'd obviously not have any worries about going to the ER. Their doctor would also very likely get them in a lot quicker than a week out, knowing other issues they have.

Hope you're doing well OP. GI issues can be scary because it goes from "is this a bug and I self treat or is this cancer" so easily since many symptoms are the same. I'm glad you reached out (and took the advice) and are doing well. I have a medical background and give advice on the forum. I agree with you that people who take advantage.of the posters there are horrible.

No. I really haven't. I've read through all of them. And I still think she has some serious issues outside of the current medical ones. I understand some people aren't as ready to tackle medical issues as others, but after a month of her symptoms, after she said she is NOT calling her doctor's office daily to check on cancellations, I think my care and concern has been misplaced.


She said she is calling for cancellations, so clearly you misinterpreted at least one point.
