Jimmy Carter is a great storyteller. "An Hour Before Daylight" is really interesting, learning about his early life on the farm.

Andre Agassiz -- "Open" -- I'm a tennis enthusiast, but what I really loved about this book is Agassiz's account of how he came to realize as an adult that his childhood and family life were pretty much of a horror show -- and how he worked through that.

I liked d Troublemaker by Leah Remini. Really great if you like celebrity memoirs. Extra points if you like hearing about the inner workings of Scientology. Bonus if you like celebrity dirt.

Oh, another good one is Tip O'Neil's autobiography. Although it will make you very nostalgic for a functioning legislative body and cross-party cooperation.

I liked Tina Fey's memoir.
Totally opposite, I also loved James Herriot's memoirs of working as a country vet in Yorkshire in the first part of the 20th century. (All Creatures Great and Small and the various sequels.) Maybe the best memoirs ever.
Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential
Madeleine Albright's Madam Secretary

I'm currently reading "Mastering the Art of Soviet Cooking," which is a history and memoir of life in Soviet Russia. It's fascinating and well-written.
