Weird, makes me think it is a manufactured shortage. Why would they have repeated shortages?

I just got some 40mg from Stroehekers in Portland...

Freedom fertility has a limited amount of the 40ML... But you have to be in cycle for it to be accepted. The dr office told me that Metro pharmacy makes their own compound so it is available. However don't expect insurance to cover it. I get the progesterone oleate from them and it's $150 plus shipping. Myinsurance wont cover that paricular compound. Good luck girls.

One other idea: don't use it. My only successful cycle was a semi-natural cycle (frozen embryos) with just supplemental progesterone suppositories. SG doesn't like this because you have to do more ultrasounds, and you don't know the date in advance to schedule the transfer. So I left SG, and on the first try elsewhere with no estrogen and some other modifications, I had a pregnancy stick for the first time through all of my infertility treatment.

There was a delestrogen shortage a few years ago when I was cycling. I was able to get it from Strohecker's in Oregon and Metro Drugs in NY/NJ.

OP here, my nurse ordered through MDR Pharmacy (www.mdrusa.com) and they told me they can't fulfill the prescription for del estrogen and progesterone because they are only fulfilling orders for FETs cycles that involve "full cycle meds only", meaning it must include lupron and other forms of estrogen and progesterone. I told them that this was not part of my protocol, but they told me that they are giving priority to only those people who need this entire suite of meds.

Lovely. I emailed my nurse and the now is trying to order through Freedom Fertility Pharmacy (https://www.freedomfertility.com). Apparently they have a 40mg/ml Del Estrogen. We shall see! I can only imagine how much the price will be jacked up now that there's a shortage!!! I'll keep everyone posted if you're interested.

I saw that a few months ago, too, and wondered what would happen. This is the first time I've had to use DelEstrogen, since all previous cycles were fresh ones.

Weirdly, my insurance covered the estrogen for a mock cycle (with a small copay; I think it was $10) even though I've maxed out my infertility benefits. Meds in previous cycles were covered -- after a I met deductible, of course -- and didn't count against fertility coverage. So I'm assuming (hoping) insurance will cover it when it comes time to refill the prescription for the FET.

Just an FYI: I just found out today that there is a shortage of DelEstrogen/Estradiol Valerate from the manufacturer. I've been using left-over, non-expired meds for the past two mock cycles so I had no idea. My nurse did say there's a special mail order place that has the meds. I can't wait to see what the pricetag will be!! Just a head's up in case any of you ladies new new meds!
