Does anyone know of any local pharmacies that carry delestrogen (or the generic estradiol valerate)? Barring that, any mail order/online pharmacies? Freedom has been out of it for a while due to a shortage. Thanks.

Check all the same pharmacies we listed in the PIO thread (Grubbs, Ambulatory Care, Acara, etc...) Is Freedom out-out or they just don't have your prescribed dosage? This last cycle I had to purchase a stronger dose and then only take 10cc instead of 20cc.

((PP again) ^^purchased through Freedom
Freedom is out out. They've been out of my prescribed dosage (20) but are now also out of the 40. Tried Ambulatory Care and Grubbs (still waiting on a callback). There is a nationwide shortage. Apparently the manufacturer is missing an ingredient so is backlogged. Ugh.
Try Acaria in Falls Church. They are the infertility specialty pharmacy related to Prosperity Pharmacy--I'm not at home, but can post the phone # later if you can't find it on Google. Or call Prosperity Pharmacy (Falls Church) and they will give you the number.
I also read a lot about Alexander's Twin Pharmacy. (NJ)
I was going to start this same thread over the weekend. I ended up getting a box that somone had just returned at ambulatory care, I know how annoying this situation is, good luck OP!
There is a shortage of delestrogen, so my clinic switched me to pills.
They are out of it too |
MDR pharmacy in California might have some...they had some last month in a different dosage. So i took .1ml each shot instead of .2. It was expensive though.
OP here. Strohecker's in Portland, Oregon, has it and has fantastic customer service.
I highly recommend CVS, specifically the one at 415 Monroe Avenue Alexandria, VA 22301, 703-683-4433. they have always had it in stock when i needed it, to include today, Jan 14, 2015. using the coupon from www.goodrx.com I got a much better price than Freedom, Grubbs, Alexanders, etc. www.goodrx.com also has coupons for progesterone in oil, etc.
I also got mine from Stroeker's in Portland. I think maybe any pharmacy that can do compounding medication? I think there are two compounding pharmacies in Leesburg, VA might be able to do it. I don't need it now since I got two vials from Stroeker's and they don't take insurance and you also have to pay for shipping so it can be expensive, it was more than $200 for two vials for me.
