That thread is about two years old. It looks like late last year the thread was revived by a spammer (whose post I just removed). A number of legitimate posters joined in at that time. Since then it appears that people Googleing for information about the detergent have been attracted here. That has caused the thread to be revived periodically. So, no sock puppetting that I can tell, but several posts from users who are not locals and haven't posted otherwise.

The posts have a similar style and I can't believe people have that much of a problem with the detergent. Costco has a very generous return policy.
