Tony Perkins and Jummy Olabanji are the lead anchors with Melissa Mollett (anchors the 4:30 spot) on traffic and Chuck Bell on weather. However, you never go a week with out someone stepping in for someone. For the For anchors, you have Melissa Mollette, Mollette Green (who sat in for Jummy while on maternity leave), and even Loren Ricketts stepping in. For weather...Jessica Faith, Loren Ricketts, and others step in. Julianna Velencia, Adam Tuss, Aimee Cho, and a reporter with last name Olmo or something sometimes solo anchor. Is there a seniority to all of this? How do they decide who is stepping in for who? They definitely don't need Loren Ricketts because the station seems to have plenty of people to fill in but they seem to try to fit Loren wherever they ca...even as a reporter. Seems like a big mess. Sometimes you won't see Adam Tuss for 2 weeks then he pops ups 3 days in a row. I haven't seen Olmo in weeks. Aimee Cho is a rare sight. Same with Julianna. Sometimes it's every day. Sometimes it's once a week. Anyone have any inside knowledge on how this all works? How do they get paid? Only when they get screen time? It seems as random as a student teacher job. Obviously it doesn't affect me, it's just a curiosity. Thanks.
