Thanks, Jeff. Good advice not to be swayed by cries of “troll”! I didn’t hit the Report button but I did post a substantive response, then got momentarily irked afterward when I thought she might be a troll.

The first thing that I would say is not to trust any posters who post troll accusations in a thread. Such posters are generally wrong and, because they disrupt the thread with their posts, are actually trolls themselves.

As for the OP of that thread, all I can say is that she has identified herself as the OP in every subsequent post. She either does not have much of a posting history or what history she has is obscure. Either way, I don't see anything to suggest that she is a troll.

My recommendation for posters who think another poster is a troll is to use the "report" button, which I believe you did, or to ignore the thread completely. Posting something like "This is a troll" bumps the thread and gives it more exposure. If the poster is a troll, that is exactly what they want.
