A swollen lymph node can mean many things. Especially if it’s without other symptoms and lasts a while, it deserves an exam.

I noticed this about a week ago when that area suddenly became painful like a bruise and really tender to touch and I had not hit my head so I knew it could not have been as result of injury. I thought maybe it was a cyst or an ingrown hair but I had my husband check and there wasn’t anything visible there. Now the pain has subsided and I feel this little pea sized lump right on top of the bone and it feels immobile and under the skin. It does feel smaller than it did last week so whatever it is maybe was inflamed and calmed down. I guess I’ll need to get it checked out to rule out anything sinister but has anyone had something like this? It literally came out of nowhere and while I don’t get frequent headaches I did have a two day headache around June 6 that I could not shake and chalked it up to stress. But at the time I remember thinking this is unusual bc if I do get a headache it is temporary so now I’m wondering if that is somehow related and now I’m worried about brain cancer of course.

OP here-thanks. I have been stressed lately and am a fed so have been walking around with a sense of stress since 1/20.
I think you need to book yourself a massage ASAP. Good luck.
