The outside scar doesn't matter. I am the PP with the isthmocele and my skin incisions are virtually invisible.

+1 I had a scheduled C for my 2nd but went into labor a week earlier and it was a different Dr that day. Make sure you get to know and get comfortable with multiple Drs at your practice.

My midwife picked my induction date for when a doctor she is chummy with was working. Induction failed and now I have a C section isthmocele due to her incompetent closure.

DO overthink it and have Dr. Maggie Burke do your c-section. She is amazing all around (several Georgetown physicians use her as their OBGYN). Schedule appointment with her and pop the question: will you deliver my baby? She’ll let you know when she is on the schedule and if that date works for you you’ll be all set.

I asked about elective C's here and got some decent advice with the predictable judgement you would expect. I should have asked more about the "best" practitioners though as PPs in other threads have said while many will do them, the surgical skill does vary.
