But somehow the rest of the team really steps up by the end of the season. Oakton beat Yorktown in the regional finals but then the following week Yorktown came back to beat them in the state championship. So, losing games can be an advantage if it fuels a fire to win in the end. I think any player/coach would rather have a few losses that led to a state championship over having an undefeated season but losing in the championship game. [/quote]
