Assuming that YJMA 2030 parents have any kind of club loyalty is first mistake in this reasoning. They have proved they don’t.
And that’s the point. They jumped clubs for a better product. Can’t imagine some of them wouldn’t think the same thing for HS.
MCE was imploding and they jumped together, splitting up the team who came together seems very different
I think you missed PPs point. MCE has not imploded. It still exists and probably will continue to exist for several years. Parents saw an opportunity to get better coaching and support, then jumped clubs. At least that’s the story on these boards. If there is an opportunity that provides a better relative experience, why wouldn’t they move over?
MCE 2030 DEFINITELY imploded. Parents did not see a better opportunity. They saw their team sinking fast and they did what they could to keep afloat. MCE as an organization will continue to exist as long as TSJ bankrolls it and Stone Ridge renews its contract for field space. Most MCE players just register for tryouts and pay. It's not the competitive program of the past. Just the same/similar coaching staff. Same cycle every few years - one team does really great and then is met with resistance and gaslighting and then the team gets frustrated and goes elsewhere.
