After their party tried to overthrow the government just over a year ago, why aren’t they “Independents” now? Great so a few Republicans are willing to make motions, sometimes, toward country over party, but overall… they’re all looney. The GOP has moved on and doesn’t give a rat’s about this. Oh, I agree. I just think this letting Republicans like Cheney and Romney off the hook because they’ve made the most basic gestures toward being American first, Republicans second is sickening. No elected person should be calling themselves a Republican if they believe in the US. What the GOP did - is doing - was so over the top that the likes of Cheney and Romney need to stop pretending that the GOP can be salvaged. It can’t. The party is dead. It’s just a matter of how long it takes the zombie to finally fall (and how much damage it can do until then).[/quote]
