[/quote] Loss of Federal Funding isn't as big as some people would've thought, like I originally did. But then eventually found out that Federal funds make up a very small portion of a school budget. Even that article linked above says the amount of Federal funds lost is about 8.6 million compared to 3.78 billion budget. Or in this link it says the total Federal funds account for about 3.4 percent of the budget: https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/budget-101/index.html And the federal funds are more for special programs like Title I schools, Title III (English Language Learners), etc So it would affect some things, such as it's probably a reason why there's a proposal to increase class sizes at Title I schools. But I don't think it's as big of a portion of the budget for MCPS as people would think.[/quote]
