Shakira is Lebanese-Colombian. Most of her dancing (and a good amount of the music) was based on traditional woman-centric middle eastern dancing.

I am Egyptian and a lot of the women in my family love traditional dancing and I do see it as an art form but it is also super problematic.  Just because brown people do something does not mean it is not problematic.  [/quote]
