Now we know why he's pushing for 36 month older players to play down.

Playing down is the only way C team players can compete against correct age/grade players.

SY with August birthdays playing on the team thats their grade in school. Which is all 100% allowed under SY League rules. The oldest any player can be is born on 8/1 per year / level. End result is all players on the field are the same grade in school.

GY is any player a certain grade in school can play on the team. This allows 36 month older 2x held back "Sophmores" as an example.

The big difference is SY with Aug birthdays playing on their correct grade in school team is the most fair for the most players and it works well with p2p club processes.[/quote]

I'm not pushing for anyone 36 months older to play with younger ones. But why are you pushing August kids to play up with grade but not allowing 36 month older kids to play with kids in their grade. Yes I realize there is a difference between 13 and 36 months, but who are you to decide which duration is appropriate vs too long? You've been trying to start a GY showcase rumor for over a year. All based on your misinterpretation of US Soccers announcement that SY will allow more players in the same grade to play on the same teams. You are so determined to play 36 month older players against youger players that you concocted nonsense in your head about leagues allowing players to play down. To reinforce the nonsense you made up in your head you fight against Aug birthdays playing on their correct grade in school team. This would allow all players to be the same grade at games. Which is what college coaches want. Which you dont want because it eliminates the need to play 36 month older players down.[/quote]
Aug birthdays playing on their correct grade in school team avoids 8th grade teams with Freshman that play HS soccer during the season. Which makes things much easier for clubs.

Some players have crap HS soccer programs and prefer to keep playing with club whenever possible, so they're good on playing with 8th graders, if they can under the rules.

Schools generally allow students to be held back twice. If the school cutoff was Aug 1st the means the oldest were born Aug 1st and youngest in that grade were born on July 31st.

Hold back an Aug 1st birthday twice in school and they are now 36 months older than the youngest possible July 31st birthday in that grade.
