I don’t think it matters anymore. It’s a small fraction of Rs who only get their news from fox. The vast majority will learn about it in other RW rags or from his very own sm posts, insulting his supporters. Eventually fox viewers will hear about it when he goes off on some temper tantrum during a live interview or press conference and says something about this being a hoax.

He turned on his base, his base turned on him. He’s done. If it continues to escalate, maybe it will lead to him being impeached and removed. More likely, he will get through the rest of his term as a lame duck president.  No more strong-arming the public. He will never again have the trust or clout for that. [/quote]

Not at all. The immense majority of Trump voters are busy people who aren't terminally online[b]. Fox has always been the channel that's perpetually on in all restaurants, bars, medical offices, and nursing homes all around MAGA country[/b], and in a lot of individual homes. Comparatively few consult Truth Social directly or watch other right wing channels or bro podcasts.

This a very intense tempest, but in a very small teapot. The rest of the china cabinet is not involved and will blindly follow Trump wherever he goes.

In the not too distant past, that was CNN, the news channel covering plane crashes and earthquakes.  Fox has not "always" been the channel playing everywhere.  And it isn't anymore, either.[/quote]
