We had ours last night and they did show the video. The teacher showed it in the classroom on the promethean board. Really there was a small blurb about inclusiveness and was really just a publicity piece from MCPS highlighting some overall vision of the districts current state and trajectory. Barely caught the inclusiveness component actually. Following the brief video the teacher gave a thorough rundown of what would be covered throughout the year, parents asked questions, etc. Not sure this deserved an entire thread....
because some people find fault with every little thing with mcps, and like to make a huge stink about it.
That's right. Its sad and a little pathetic.
New poster here. I find people like you disturbing. WE pay for the schools. It is a democracy. People can complain about and hope to do things about certain things they don't like with their school and the school district. Have you ever seen the actual school budget? Have you been to county PTA meetings? School PTA meetings? County board meetings? Have you seen what $$ is wasted on? What things the county takes seriously and what it does not? It is politics. It is like big pharm. You are doing exactly what they want you to do - trying to minimize someone's voice - by being a bully and demeaning the situation into "everyone should just shrug and move on." If someone feels strongly about something, you don't have to say they are pathetic or why make a stink, or why bother. Would you say the same thing to your kids?
