When I lived within walking distance of the Virginia Square metro and worked on K Street, metro plus the walks on both ends routinely ended up taking about 50 minutes. I now commute 1:40 each way. Hellish? No. One hour is a comfortable VRE ride where I can read, watch videos, work, whatever. It's my quiet time. The rest is a short drive to the VRE, and then a mile walk from L'Enfant to my office. And I get to live on a farm. [/quote]
