He was released after he turned himself in, at which time he was in custody.  If he ran out of the police station at that time he would have been pursued, since he was - at that time - under arrest, prior to being released.

Charges were filed by the police, not the DA. The prosecutor's office has not reviewed the case yet. At least get your facts straight.[/quote]
