Your post makes no sense, but I'm guessing you're trying (and failing) to make a nasty jab about now restaurants and bars don't make someone have a life.  Well I fail to see how sitting in traffic is preferable than being in a place where you can enjoy yourself, meet new people, eat good food, and have fun. And FWIW, as a mom with young kids in DC, I love that I can walk to bars and restaurants with my husband during our precious alone time together instead of spending an hour driving somewhere worthwhile.
