[/quote] Yes, and I know that parenting standards were completely different in that time/class, but now Edith seems to be flitting out to London for her paper over and over without her beloved Marigold. And then staying a couple days, a week solo? Sure Mrs. Drewe would be even happier to hear that Marigold has been taken away from her to be cared for by a nanny exclusively for days/weeks a month. [Note: I have nothing against nannies and employ one myself! Not trying to start another WOHM/SAHM battle :D - just pointing out how Edith's class/culture has an interesting conception of maternal devotion in the first place...][/quote]
