And why not?

The Catholic MS is a continuing source of students for them. They should and will admit students to keep that pipeline open.

The Catholic high school has a long-standing relationship with these Catholic MS's and a reservoir of trust has been built up over the years which allows the HS to understand (even informally) just what they might be getting in a student and school citizen. That relationship rarely exists with the PS's.

The Catholic MS parents have demonstrated a commitment to Catholic education by sending their children to the Parish school. The HS's see the value of that and are supportive. Additionally, the Catholic HS can feel more secure that their school isn't just one of a number of schools that are being considered.

The Catholic high schools, even the best them' serves a community not just those with the highest test scores regardless of who they are and where they come from.
