Actually, this was an AMA from a Muslim woman married to a Christian man. She ventured to say that she found her husband's way of understanding God beautiful and suddenly she was barraged with charge of hypocrisy because clearly she could not be truly Muslim and find any element of her husband's faith beautiful.
Yes, she was, and that's a very sad thing. Perhaps you can direct your rage against people who called her a hypocrite for complimenting Christianity? Or against an idiot who wanted me to confirm that I see all hadiths as acceptable and called me a hypocrite when I didn't? You seem to be good at the rage thing.
This was not a thread about what Muslims believe.
Threads drift. Deal.
But you and others (?, maybe they were all you) made it about that and then proceeded to insult other posters for consulting Sheiikh Google and pronouncing to them that to be Muslim the Quran is simply not enough; one has to believe and follow Sunnah, as well as all the 10,000 or so hadiths. You provided absolutely no documentation, unlike what you have just claimed.
If someone posts a clearly ignorant thing, I feel free to insult them. That the Quran does not form the totality of Muslim theological sources is an actual fact.
You could provide a source for the whole all babies are born Muslim thing came from the Hadith. A clearly non-Muslim poster had to point out that this was not from the Quran (which I am sure you hoped people would just accept) but from a hadith that many many Muslims consider suspect.
I never claimed it was from the Quran. Who cares what you're sure of? You have no idea no many Muslims consider it suspect. That Muslim converts are called reverts is an incontrovertible fact.
People who hang around the religion threads know Islam pretty well and they know there are plenty of Muslims in good standing who follow only the Quran. Some of them post here regularly. (Yes, and there are Sunnis among them.) There have been massive disputes over verses in the Quran. You denigrate these people as "Quranists" and heavily imply that Islam requires taking the entire package to every literal word of Sunnah and hadith, as well as the Quran.
How do you know it was me who denigrates them as Quranists? That hadith and Sunna are considered important and meaningful to Muslims is an actual fact. I didn't "heavily imply" it, I said it clearly.
You are either an Islamic fanatic or an anti-Muslim who wants to spread hate against Islam by making it out to be an intolerant and literal-minded religion where you can be saved only by following every petty dictate of a slew of questionable hadith.
And you are? A little Miss rush-to-judgment thinking she can divine the identity of anonymous posters. You have no idea who I am. If you want to begin your education in Islam 101, you may want to remember that there is no such thing as "saving" in Islam. Original sin and salvation are wholly Christian concepts.
OP has demonstrated a spirituality that speaks for itself.
And I wish her the best and hope she reappears, despite being chased away by bullies who called her a hypocrite for calling Catholicism beautiful.
