I would actually be a little surprised if Belichick is lying about this.  He has taken a very definitive public stance.  He's a smart guy (who knows that the cover up can be worse than the "crime"), and I would expect him to be far more circumspect if he had something to hide (or alternatively, and less charitably, if he thought the NFL had any way of proving misconduct).  As I recall, he didn't so much deny the facts in Spygate, as he maintained that what he had done was allowable under the rules.  He's taking a very different approach this time.[/quote]
