Good point. Very few QBs have come out to support him. Most have said nothing, which actually says quite a bit, IMO. Tarnished "greatness".

Interesting take. Tennis balls are yellow, basketballs are orange-ish, and soccer balls are black and white. Sometimes, footballs have white stripes.

The two "I'm not a Patriots fan" pp are desperately grasping at straws - hopelessly scouring the net searching for explanations that they hope will ease the inescapable truth that their team is dishonest. The pats let you guys down - and this is not your fight to fight. Punishment cometh.

Sources are now reporting that the deflated Patriots balls used in the first half of the Colts game were deflated by more like 1 psi, rather than the previously reported 2 psi. Who knows if this is actually correct. The fact is, the NFL has confirmed very few details so far, and everything else out there is rumor and speculation. Certainly, there are far more plausible scientific explanations out there for a football deflated by 1 psi, rather then 2 psi.

I would actually be a little surprised if Belichick is lying about this. He has taken a very definitive public stance. He's a smart guy (who knows that the cover up can be worse than the "crime"), and I would expect him to be far more circumspect if he had something to hide (or alternatively, and less charitably, if he thought the NFL had any way of proving misconduct). As I recall, he didn't so much deny the facts in Spygate, as he maintained that what he had done was allowable under the rules. He's taking a very different approach this time.

Scientist are now coming out from all over the country saying that the deflation caused by rubbing the football before they were tested (legally) and then being exposed to colder weather after testing is completely plausible for a 2 PSI drop. If the Colts didn't go through the same rubbing prep then it would not be a factor for their balls. This is sour grapes for the Harbaugh, YOU LOST DUDE, not a scandal. He started this whole thing and I am not a Patriots fan but this is so made up. Johnnyboy is so proud of himself but is gonna look like the ass he is as well as poor loser.

What punishment do you think is appropriate for the Patriots? Clearly, a 25k fine is negligible and if that is all, why wouldn't they just do it all the time and take the fine?

I think they should be ineligible from post season play next year. Drastic enough that maybe they will start to rethink cheating again.

Over inflate the patriots footballs for the Super Bowl . Brady says he doesn't notice the difference. Then we can watch the results and nobody can really argue about it. Why don't the patriots offer that for proof.
