I don't believe in 100% all Asian Ivies but I think it's fair to say Ivies DO discriminate against Asians. [/quote] Harvard, a private institution, is not obliged to follow any formula in admissions. They don't have to take the top scoring students only. Further, even if Harvard did decide to admit only the ver top scores, they could fill several freshmen classes with perfect score kids, so it's not clear to me how discrimination is being practiced. FTR, I also have no problem with colleges "discriminating" against students from certain high schools by limiting the number they take from each. Nor am I troubled by UVA's "discrimination" against kids from NoVA.[/quote]
