+1 This is something that happens all the time at my mother or MIL's house. If she just cooked a meal for a dozen people I would feel bad not helping with the dishes. What pisses me off is when my husband doesn't help out. Just because you have a penis doesn't mean you can't help in the kitchen.[/quote]

Oh come on! If you've been married for a few years it's perfectly acceptable for your MIL to ask that. It's a lot of work to cook a meal for everyone, it's no big deal if you have to clean up the bowls before cooking.[/quote]
