And by electing a government intent of launching rockets every daily into Israeli towns, Hamas has ensured that the Israelis will keep on hating them. Its a vicious circle. I just hope the IDF has time to finish off Hamas this time. As you said, every rocket lobbed into Israel with the purpose of killing innocent Jews just hardens Israeli resolve to rid themselves of the Hamas roaches.
Yawn. IDF has been down this road before. They'll never exterminate Hamas. On the killing of the innocent, so far, it's 1,000+ for Israel, 40+ for Hamas. The numbers speak for themselves.
I am Jewish, with Israeli parents, and lots of family living in Israel. I am sickened by this war, and am praying for peace. I do not agree at all with the video that started this thread. That all being said, I am so fucking sick of this argument. Israel built the iron dome years ago b/c of Hamas' rockets. Should it apologize for spending money on defending its people????? Seriously????
Israel is spending US money. THAT'S the difference. So even if US citizens are against taking sides, their money forces them to. I have heard - again and again - from Jewish friends who travel there yearly and who send their children there that Israel is safe. What parent would spend half a year's worth of tuition to send his/her graduating senior off to a war zone if Israel were not safe?
I don't understand your argument. You say that bc Israel uses US funds to build it's defense system, we Americans HAVE to take a stand one way or the other? Have you met your fellow taxpayers? We don't know shit about what our money is goingn toward. Did you realize at the time that the US was actually supporting sadam Hussein before we decided he was enemy #1? Or that Egypt, which has committee enormous human rights abuses, was the second largest recipient of US $$ after Israel? What does one thing have to do with the other?
