So what? When I started college in 1995 my parents paid for everything that financial aid didn't cover AND sent me money once a month. I'm sorry you had to take out loans, I'm sorry your mom couldn't give you more than $100, I'm sorry you didn't get more financial support. But you probably didn't get it because your mom didn't have it to give. My parents had more to give, so they gave it. I have a very strong work ethic despite that, and despite moving home after college for a couple of years. Don't we want better for our children? I want mine to struggle even less than I did. I really believe that can be balanced with teaching them the strong work ethic my brother and I have. [/quote]
