Do you think it is reasonable for the average K student to be expected  to know a sound for each letter of the alphabet by the end of the year?   Or do you think that is too ambitious?   Assume these kids are in full day K.

+1  My child is learning this in full day preschool and has progressed leaps and bounds in social/emotional skills.  This is largely based on the freedom of the school to establish it's own curriculum, schedules and teacher assessments.  [/quote]
