[/quote] Saying something deliberately offensive serves the same purpose as faking something: the point is to see how people react. A troll can jerk peoples' chains by faking something, or by offending. I'm the poster who first called 10:17 a troll, and I wasn't disagreeing with her because she didn't state an opinion but instead asked an open-ended question. But it was an offensive question, offensively phrased. Ergo, 10:17 is a troll. At least in my book, YMMV.[/quote]
