NCS mom here and I have to counter much of the misinformation previously posted. My daughter's experience at NCS has been overwhelmingly positive. At drop off she is regularly greeted by the other kids. Students collaborate on work assignments enthusiastically. Replies to FB posts are good natured and texts are light hearted. It's my daughter's impression that the mean girl is the one to be quickly ostracized. The girls would never accept abuse because they have too much empathy for the demands they all face. The girls value and admire each other for the many different qualities each girl brings to the community.
Having previously attended a school with uniforms (prison outfits)I can assure you these girls are sufficiently capable of dressing themselves

That is scary and that is why uniforms curb bullying, especially in older grades.

This is a lie, by the way, total fiction. I'm an NCS parent who has posted negative things about the school on this thread, but this is just silly.

+2 I've seen it as a school counselor and as a mom to DD who REFUSED to have anything to do with a girl (who had no friends). You can come down on them for being rude but you can't make them be friends. It's the most insidious form of relational aggression.

Saying something deliberately offensive serves the same purpose as faking something: the point is to see how people react. A troll can jerk peoples' chains by faking something, or by offending. But it was an offensive question, offensively phrased. Ergo, 10:17 is a troll. At least in my book, YMMV.
