As pathetic as MoCo's pass rate is, it is higher than the middle school math pass rate here in Alexandria. As for what is driving the scores, early math acceleration has long been a suspect. My cousin is a teacher in moCo and they have suspected that for a while. Not many kids can do algebra in 7th grade, so a lot gets skipped.[/quote]
