Northern Virginia has a dearth of good independent schools. And those who attend those (non-Catholic) schools are insufferable with big fish, small pond complex. Which is why we make the commute to DC (and will move).[/quote] DP. We live in McLean and our child be attending Potomac this fall. My child currently attends public and older siblings attended a different private. McLean has insufferable parents and nice parents in both public and private. Our public elementary school has many well educated parents with important jobs that don’t pay as well and they are also insufferable. It is just the area.[/quote]
